Alliance of Students Against Poverty

ASAP Chapters

Currently, Alliance of Students Against Poverty has chapters at the following Universities:

If you don’t see your university listed above, continue below to learn how to start an ASAP Chapter at your university.  If your University is listed, join today in the fight against extreme poverty.

Steps to Forming an ASAP Chapter

In order to be officially recognized as an Alliance of Students Against Poverty (ASAP) Chapter, your group must first become chartered by ASAP.  Because organizing and leading a university chapter is demanding, it is important that students know and understand the expectations and requirements of being a university chapter.  Please contact Jon Mangum (jgmangum@asap2025.org) with any questions or concerns regarding the feasibility of an ASAP Chapter at your school.

You will need to complete the following steps to form an ASAP Chapter:

Step 1:  Identify a core group of interested students.

Step 2:  Choose a University Chapter Adviser.

Step 3:  Read the Prospective ASAP University Chapters Toolkit. (see below)

Step 4:  Talk to your school administration about what it takes to form a student group on your campus and follow the recommended steps.

Step 5:  Complete and send the ASAP Chapter application. (see below)

Step 6:  Complete an interview with ASAP Central.

Step 7:  Pay your first year of annual dues.

Step 8:  After you have sent your dues, your Charter will be submitted for final approval.
